GIOVANNA GALLOTTINI

She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Arizona. Her career led her to experience and appreciate diverse environments, ranging from the deserts of Arizona and Nevada to the rainforests of the Pacific Northwest.
For the last thirty years, she has been a full-time resident of Florida, and for the last fifteen, she has made the Ocala National Forest her home, fulfilling her childhood dream.
One of the first volunteers to join ONFA, she is happy to assist with any task that needs to be done. She is a forest patrol ranger, and her primary interests are the history of the forest and its communities, as well as the protection of its bear population.
In her time off, you can find Giovanna riding in the forest on her street-legal off-road motorcycle. She is also active with the Boxer Rescue Association, and she adopts and fosters older dogs.
