MARK VOYKOVIC
Over the past 22 years, Mark has volunteered with the US Forest Service in Southern California, Georgia, and now Florida.
Mark started in 1999 as a volunteer wilderness ranger in Southern California, patrolling the San Gorgonio Wilderness, San Bernardino National Forest. As a wilderness ranger in the San Gorgonio’s, Mark performed overnight and daytime patrols engaging with forest visitors and educating on wilderness rules, regulations, and leave no trace principles. Starting in 2001, he also volunteered as a Tahquitz Peak Fire Lookout Host and Fire Information volunteer, supporting numerous fires in 2004.
In 2005, his job relocated him and his family to Atlanta, Georgia. In 2006, Mark joined the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest as their first volunteer wilderness ranger supporting the Cohutta Wilderness (north Georgia). During his time in Georgia, he also supported the Conasauga District Trail Volunteers on numerous trail crew events and overnights.
In the summer of 2018, his job relocated him and his family to Jacksonville, FL. In the summer of 2019, Mark joined the Ocala National Forest as their first volunteer wilderness ranger supporting the heavily used Juniper Prairie Wilderness. During the hot and humid summers, Mark supports forest protection officers with vehicle patrols, visitor engagements, and at mobile ranger stations.
Mark is a native of southern California and currently lives in Jacksonville, FL with his wife Natalie of 31 years, his two daughters, Emily and Abigail, and their chocolate lab Bailey. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix, his Executive MBA at Kennesaw State University, Coles College of Business, and has over 27 years of experience in sales, merchandising, product development, and product management.
