DON COX

Don is the President of the Ocala National Forest Alliance and serves as the Mobile Field Ranger Coordinator in the program.

PRESIDENT

Over the last 35 years Don Cox has been a golf course superintendent. Don’s extensive experience as a steward of the environment has aligned well with his off-roading endeavors.

A certified Tread Lightly! Master Trainer, Don serves as Tread Lightly! Coordinator for the 20,000+ members of The Florida Trail Stompers Off-Road organization. He serves as a Trail Boss for The Florida Trail Stompers and has logged thousands of hours leading FTS groups through the Swamps, Forests and Prairies of Florida, as-well-as “Out of State” club rides.

Over the years Don has been an avid Off-Roader who is passionately looking for ways to share the Tread Lightly! Principles and Tread Lightly’s mission to educate outdoor recreationists regarding the responsible ways to use public and private lands.
Don has lived in the Tampa Bay area for over 30 years and could not imagine living anywhere else.
